Among Women Espresso Shot #35: Praying, Sacrificing, and Reparation

Welcome to Episode 35 of Among Women “Espresso Shot”
– a short strong coffee break of faith sharing and teaching from Pat Gohn.

Today’s topic: Praying, Sacrificing, and Reparation

In this espresso shot, I focus on the prayers of the Angel at Fatima to the visionaries … which have great power to help heal the church and the world, and, us.

We see and experience trouble in the world, trouble in the Church … this is a deep call for Catholics to do the heaving lifting in terms of prayer, sacrifice, and reparation for the love of Jesus, for the conversions of those who are far from him, and to offer reparation for the sins and offenses against the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. (Here’s an informative video about reparation and Eucharistic devotion, including a conversation with the recently deceased, Fr. Andrew Apostoli, an expert on this subject. His book on Fatima is highly recommended by me.)

Information for the 2 prayers from the Angel of Fatima offered in this episode:

    1. Angel Prayer / Pardon Prayer (From the first apparition of the Angel at Fatima, Spring, 1916)

My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love you! I ask pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You!

Another common translation of this prayer in English is this:

My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love you! I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You!

Pray either one!

2. Here is the Angel’s prayer from his third visit to the children of Fatima in the Fall of 1916:

Most Holy Trinity, Father,  Son, and Holy Spirit, I adore YOU profoundly, and I offer You the precious he most precious Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifference by which He Himself is offended. And through the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of You the conversion of poor sinners.

Another common translation of this prayer in English is this:

O Most holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, I adore you profoundly. I offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges, and indifference by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.

Pray either one!
