Among Women 199: Beatitude = Being Like Jesus

November 30, 2015

In this episode:

“Blessed are They”: St Frances Xavier Cabrini

“Among Women” Guest: Melanie Rigney

One part a meditation on the Beatitudes and one part a reflection on the lives of the saints, Melanie Rigney’s new book, Blessed Are You: Finding 9781616368807_mediumInspiration from Our Sisters in Faith, is the basis for our conversation today on how to live the beatitudes. In other words, it’s how to live like Jesus. Also in this episode, a profile on the life of St Frances Xavier Cabrini, and encouragement to tune into the Jubilee Year of Mercy coming Dec 8th.

Happy 200 Episodes!!!! What does Among Women mean to me? I don’t know if words– particularly my words, as I’m not a writer– can describe the wonderful blessing that this podcast has been in my life. I very rarely make it through an episode without crying because my heart is so full, especially the prayer. What a privilege to be able to pray with you and all the fellow listeners!! This podcast has consoled me in my lonliness, when I needed some literal soul sisters–women who share in my faith and love of Jesus and Mary. It has also provided many many resources that I never would have found on my own. I truly love the fellowship that we share among women, thank you so much Pat!! I want you to know that I do appreciate the regularly scheduled releases of the podcast and I look forward to downloading each episode on the 10th 20th and 30th of every month. I pray for you and the podcast, and I thank you again, all this is such an incredible blessing in my life!
